WHEN IS YOUR LAKE OPEN FOR SWIMMING?

Usually from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, depending on water and weather conditions, and lifeguard availability.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Members and their guests are welcome at the lake.  We have summer memberships who pay dues and have access to the lake when we are open for swim hours or for special events. We have associate and active memberships for those who want to volunteer their time and help with the operation and long term viability of ELCC.  All new members start as summer members.

WHAT IS THE COST OF SUMMER MEMBERSHIP?

  • Family membership is $900.

  • Couple membership is $675.

  • Single membership is $500.

WHEN CAN NEW MEMBERS JOIN?

Current summer members have the first opportunity to join each year. If there are open spots, we will accept new summer member applications.  We typically accept new applications in February of each year.  We have a waitlist for summer members so it can take years to get accepted to being a summer member.  Please check back on the website February 1st for information on new summer member applications. If you are a returning member and have not heard from us by February 5th, please contact membershipelcc@gmail.com.

CAN WE BRING A GUEST?

We have paid lifeguards each summer.  We always have lifeguards on duty when we are open for swimming.

IS THIS A NATURAL LAKE?

Sort of. The lake is formed with an earthen dam at a confluence of several spring-fed and seasonal creeks. The lake is full of natural flora and fauna, such as fish, turtles, and birds, and is managed with sensitivity to the needs of wildlife as well as human visitors.

ARE THERE FISH IN THE LAKE?

Yes, the lake is stocked with fish. No fishing is allowed during the swim season.  Active members can do catch & release fishing in off-season.
